"The Rehearsal in the Pavilion," embodies the experiences of preparing for a performance.
This interpretation depicts various encounters within a single moment. As the paintings progress, they feature a recognizable theme of support amid doubt and insecurity, which I embody as a feminine quality in my art.
In this way, the paintings are autobiographical, portraying dynamics affecting women that the audience can access without prior knowledge.
Throughout these works, I challenge obstacles to individuality, both internal and external, through the companionship found in caring for one another.
